The Kay International School Kids Club was founded in 1995 by Helga Kay, who holds a PhD in education and linguistics, in Bonn’s Südstadt district, and now has two sites: one in Bad Godesberg and one in Bonn’s Südstadt district.
We specialise in language courses to complement school studies, private tuition, exam and A-level preparation, as well as language courses for adults. Our course programmes are offered in English, French, Spanish and German.
Our aim is to improve language skills and to offer high-quality, easily understandable language tuition to ensure the best possible results. Our language courses cover all relevant areas.

Language courses for children
In the primary years (Years 1–4), children are gently introduced to the English language through language games, stories and role-play. From Year 2 onwards, children are gently introduced to reading and writing English texts. In Year 4, we offer a special programme designed to prepare pupils, in terms of both content and methodology, for English lessons in Year 5 at secondary schools.
Language courses for school pupils
For pupils in Years 5 to 13 at grammar schools, secondary schools and comprehensive schools who are experiencing learning difficulties or simply wish to improve their written and oral marks, our qualified native-speaking teachers offer targeted support and tuition in group and/or one-to-one lessons – covering both subject content and teaching methods across all four learning areas – reading and listening comprehension, speaking and writing. In the upper school courses for EF, Q1 and Q2, we focus specifically on topics relevant to the Abitur and develop the skill areas of SUMMARY, TEXT ANALYSIS, COMMENT, RECREATIVE WRITING and MEDIATION.
Language courses for adults
The most effective and flexible way for you to learn a language from scratch or brush up on your skills with a native-speaking teacher, tailored entirely to your wishes and requirements, is available through group or one-to-one lessons.

The Language courses for children are specially designed to make learning fun and to help children learn a new foreign language through play. Our language teachers are specially trained for this type of course and are able to cater to each child’s individual needs.
For children and school pupils, we offer language courses in English, French, Spanish and German as part of the school curriculum.
We also offer a special course programme to help prepare for A-level exams and preparatory courses for Year 4 pupils for secondary school.
In addition to our regular courses, we offer intensive language courses for all year groups at both our Bonn locations during all school holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia. The holiday programme is very successful and combines learning with plenty of fun. The curriculum content for the respective year group is revised and explored in greater depth. Oral and written skills are consolidated and developed.
