Our pre-school children

The Butterflies – our 5- and 6-year-olds

In our Pre-School programme, our Butterflies are already being prepared in the best possible way for the methodological and didactic learning prepared for in primary school. In this group, the children develop key social-emotional, motor, cognitive, mathematical, linguistic and creative skills. These skills help them to develop the readiness for school and the ability to work in a group, and thus their overall readiness for school.

Our pre-school programme

In our pre-school programme „Language and Literacy“ The Butterflies learn about sound perception, the initial sound chart, sound combinations and, finally, how to write words using our Letterland programme.

In the the field of mathematics the children are encouraged in their
trained in abstract thinking, i.e. moving from concrete sets of numbers represented by objects to abstract numbers, addition and subtraction. In the area of logical-mathematical development, children are introduced to the various aspects of mathematics through activities involving the understanding of numbers and quantities, as well as the classification of geometric shapes and sizes. In „Knowledge and understanding of the world“ Through hands-on experiments, the children gain their first insights into the laws of physics and chemistry and engage in metacognitive reflection on the question, „Why is that?“

Regular workshops for our older children

At regular intervals, we offer our children inspiring, holistic and child-friendly workshops run by the Modern Media Working Group on the topics of healthy eating, the forest and the world of water.

In this way, we encourage the children to interact responsibly with one another and to learn social skills through their use of media.
